Ewa started her career with IBM in Boca Raton, FL., as a software engineer working on robotics projects. In 1986 she transitioned to CASI, a startup access control manufacturer supplying high end security solutions to corporate customers. She held various engineering positions, ranging from software developer, QA manager, software development manager, and vice president of engineering.
In 2002, she joined GE where she continued to expand her technical skills as well as leadership within engineering where she held many positions including of vice president of engineering.
In 2008, Ewa was named Principal Engineer in the Office of Chief Engineer. As a deep technical subject matter expert in her field, Ewa focused on implementation of GE Security’s technology growth strategies for integrated products as well as developing technical talent within the company.
In 2010 Ewa joined UTC Fire & Security division of United Technologies. She was named UTC Fellow in December 2010 for her deep software architecture expertise and contributions to the business. Ewa provided mentorship to many women in technology across UTC and participated in the community by supporting STEM events.
In 2013, Ewa assumed engineering leadership role as CTO for LenelS2 and relocated to Pittsford, NY. Her focus is new product development and innovation as well developing technology partnerships to complement the overall Lenel solutions. Since joining LenelS2 and the Rochester area, Ewa participated and supported multiple technology related events focused on women’s career development.
Ewa is the recipient of GE Security CEO Award, GE Women in Technology Award, as well as several patents for her work on mobile devices and integrated security applications.
In 2016 Ewa was the recipient of Rochester’s Woman in Technology award from the local Rochester community for her contributions towards STEM education.
Ewa graduated from University of California in Los Angeles, with a B.S. Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science.
