Greg Overstreet is the current Director of Security for Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga. He is a 20 year veteran in public law enforcement, private security and crowd management. Over the past 10 years Greg oversaw the event security and crowd management operations for the Georgia Dome, Georgia Tech, Georgia State University, University of Georgia and Infinite Energy Arena. He has been a part of 3 Super Bowls, 3 Men’s NCAA Final Fours and the 1996 Olympic Games.
He brings knowledge from stints with The RCA Dome and Indiana Convention Center, Mile High Stadium, Coors Field and Soldier Field to name a few. Greg has acted as a consultant with several facilities and special events throughout the US and internationally. He worked internationally with the Aruba Music Festival and Harley Davidson’s 100thAnniversary Tour and has been able to forge strong relationships with law enforcement leaders and stadium crowd management experts around the world. He is a highly requested speaker on topics ranging from large event crowd management, active shooter, IAVM Trained Crowd Manager and customer service excellence in the security field.
Greg’s expertise and focus are heavily concentrated in event security, crowd management, guest relations, training and motivating staff to perform at the high levels expected by venues and events nationwide. Developing a trained, professional, crowd management team of game day staff who can provide a world class, southern hospitality experience to guests is an ongoing passion that he continues to promote throughout the US and internationally.
Greg has received the American Society for Industrial Security, Certified Protection Professional’s designation and has been accepted to sit for the ASIS, Physical Security Professional (PSP) exam. He is a NCS4, Certified Sports Security Professional. He has completed numerous National Incident Management Courses, as well as the IAVM Trained Crowd Managers Courses, NFL Security seminars and is a Master Trainer for Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management. Additionally, he is also a proud graduate of The Disney Institute.
